During Chip and Katy's visit it was very hot. There were not many options for cooling off in a home with one ceiling fan. So ... do we buy a season pass to Lake "Catonic" or a swimming pool for the back yard. I'm glad we went with option #2 ... it' nie to have a place to cool off on hot afternoons. Or after 3 1/2 hours weeding an overgrown garden!

Keeping Cool
During Chip and Katy's visit it was very hot. There were not many options for cooling off in a home with one ceiling fan. So ... do we buy a season pass to Lake "Catonic" or a swimming pool for the back yard. I'm glad we went with option #2 ... it' nie to have a place to cool off on hot afternoons. So much fun at one place. We went miniature golfing, Sean and Chip hit balls together (Sophie got to play with balls too!), and Mom and Sean fought a good fight at water (laser) tag. They advertise laser-tag, but it really is water tag. Anyway, all a lot of fun. Enjoy the photos, because I can't figure out how to get captions on each one.

The color of waiting
Yesterday was just one of those days. Technically my "day off" I started out by taking a friend of the church for an appointment ... leaving the house at 9:00 am. I arrived home at 6:30 pm -- from the "appointment". So, color Friday purple for waiting. Today is waiting time again ... waiting for a call to come help prepare for VBS next week, waiting for daughter Katy, son-in-law Chip and grandkids Sean (5 1/2) and Sophia (Sophie) age 8 months to arrive! Oh, yeah, and waiting for inspiration for a sermon that should be done in about 2 hours! That broom tree of Elijah's sounds mighty tempting right about now.
